Mahin

MAHIN — Mahin is a Persian artist currently residing in Canada. She was the daughter of a Persian carpet weaver and her passion for art was apparent to her family as she watched her father design brilliantly colorful Persian carpets.

She went on to study her passion for art in Italy, "the center of art in Europe". It was during this period that she became influenced by Classical and European approaches to art by masters such as Cézanne and Monet, an influence, which continues to the present day. Upon completing her Master's Degree in Fine Arts in Florence, she began to develop a personal style that is fluid, sensitive, and classical in nature.

Mahin has a unique postimpressionist style and technique. A great colorist by nature, she uses a very rich palette of colors to portray her still life and landscapes. In her works she portrays a feeling of light and harmony that is both poetic and aesthetic.

Mahin became a citizen of Canada four years ago and paints with a passion for impressionistic styles. She continues to expand her body of works and her originality and unique style has caught the attention of art enthusiasts and collectors in Canada and the United States.

Mahin's works have been exhibited at several galleries in the United States, Canada, France, and Italy. Mahin paints only original oil on canvas and does not reproduce her work.
